After a lengthy wait, tech giant Samsung is close to rolling out its most significant software update of the year, One UI 7.

The latest interface upgrade, set to supersede One UI 6 on most current models, boasts an array of new features.

Users can expect enhanced AI writing capabilities, better photo and video capture functions, and the brand new Now Bar, offering at-a-glance updates like football scores, timers, and directions.

Based on Android 15, One UI 7 also spruces up the aesthetic and customisation options with a revamped home screen, redesigned widgets, and an improved lock screen.

“One UI 7 marks a significant leap forward by integrating leading AI agents and multimodal capabilities into every touch point of the interface, creating an AI platform where every interaction feels natural and intuitive,” said Samsung about the update.

Initially exclusive to the new Galaxy S25 series, One UI 7 was earlier trialled on the Galaxy S24 range in December, with a beta version now set to expand to more smartphones.

The U.K. will see the Beta program open for Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 from March 6 and subsequently reach additional devices such as the Galaxy S23 lineup, Tab S10 series, and A55 within the month.

Beta programmes for software, such as One UI 7, allow you to try out the upcoming software before its official release. If you’re interested, simply check the Samsung Members app if you own one of the listed phones below, reports the Mirror.

Currently available for: Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6. Coming soon for: Galaxy S23 series, Tab S10 series and A55.

However, if you’re not keen on installing the beta version, there’s no need to worry. As more devices are getting this test version, it’s likely that Samsung is nearing its official release, with some experts predicting it could be available in settings from April.
