  • The highly anticipated title is currently slated to release in Fall 2025.

A new rumor from a reliable source claims that the highly anticipated second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 will release in early April, which would make it over 480 days since the release of the game’s first trailer. As of writing, Grand Theft Auto 6 is slated for a Fall 2025 release, but the only concrete information fans have surrounding the game came with its first trailer back in December 2023. Since then, Rockstar Games has remained tight-lipped on what will undoubtedly be the biggest release of the year.

For well over a year now, fans have been theorizing on when Grand Theft Auto 6‘s second trailer will be released. One of the most popular theories that gained traction revolved around the moon. To be more specific, the exact phase of the moon seen in various promotional images for Grand Theft Auto Online. Fans firmly believed that Rockstar Games was teasing the release date for trailer two via moon phases that corresponded with real-world dates. Of course, this was just one of the many wild Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer theories to be debunked, but now a new theory (with much more credibility) could have finally nailed down a date for the second trailer.

Here’s a rundown on the key differences between GTA 5 Legacy and Enhanced on PC, including graphics upgrades, performance changes, and new features.

GTA 6’s Second Trailer May Be Closer Than You Think

According to GTA VI O’Clock, which consists of some of the most respected content creators and journalists within the Grand Theft Auto community, Grand Theft Auto 6‘s second trailer could arrive in early April. As part of the team’s very first newsletter, GTA VI O’Clock discussed the long wait between trailer one and trailer two. They note that Rockstar Games’ usual marketing campaign kicks off around six months before a big release, which would suggest a late March/early April release date for the game’s second trailer. They then noted that they have had a “credible tip off” which claimed Grand Theft Auto 6‘s second trailer will release in April.

The long wait between trailers has led some fans to believe a delay for the title is imminent. However, the good news is that Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take-Two Interactive, recently shared a promising update for Grand Theft Auto 6‘s scheduled release window, reaffirming that the title will still be launching in Fall 2025. Take Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick did admit that slippage is always possible, but clearly remained confident in Rockstar Games’ ability to get Grand Theft Auto 6 out the door later this year.

Aside from a Fall 2025 launch window, a firm release date has yet to be set by Rockstar. With that being said, fans do believe they’ve narrowed down Grand Theft Auto 6‘s launch date thanks to Borderlands 4. While separate studios develop both titles, they are both owned by Take-Two Interactive. With Borderlands 4 recently confirming that it will release in September 2025, many fans speculated that this sets Grand Theft Auto 6 up with a late October/early November release date, as Take-Two likely won’t want the two titles releasing too close to each other.
